About The Author
Christina Bultinck Christina Bultinck grew up in Frank-fort, Illinois and attended Joliet Junior College before moving to Chicago to study online media at Columbia College. Her time is now split between Chicagos north side and Frankfort, where her parents, brother, two cats, and friends still reside. She feels privileged to have grown up in a small, beautiful, and historic town, and hopes, with the publication of this book, to encourage others to learn about their local history Bultincks articles have appeared in major trade, popular, and online magazine. In 1996 Christina started InfoKey, a research company that specializes in Internet research, online media, and monitoring trends in the industry, and for which she has written The Recruiters Bible. Since then, the majority of her writing has been technical and reference-oriented though her first love is, and always will be, comedy. When shes not obsessing about history shes collecting it. Coins, old books, 78-rpm records, and stock certificates are her favorite pieces of history to hold. In addition to antiquing, she spends her free time reading and trying, with no luck, to get the hang of swing dancing. Christy Johnston-Czarnecki Christy Johnston-Czarnecki was born in Chicago, but makes her home in the South Suburbs. She has lived in Blue Island and Frankfort, where she spent her grade school and high school years. She now resides in the suburb of Peotone with her husband and daughter. After receiving her bachelors degree in literature and library science from Western Illinois University, she spent some years as a childrens librarian with the Mokena Public Library District. Christys love for the South Suburbs runs deep, which made writing this book a bit of a love story. To those who are unfamiliar with the area she says, "You dont know what youre missing." When she is not chasing around after her daughter, Christy loves to read, write poetry, and make crafts. Most importantly, she has never missed an episode of 90210.
