More and more road maps are being printed on Tyvek or similar substances which resist both water and tearing. This is a great feature to have since paper road maps are so easily destroyed through repeated folding. This map of Hungary enjoys both of these features (waterproof and untearable) and was a great thing to have on hand during our two week road trip in Hungary. Also, the scale of this map is 1:400,000 which is a larger scale than 99% of the road maps you'll see for sale at bookstores here in the US or vendors in Hungary itself (most road maps of Hungary are 1:500,000). This more generous scale (1:400,000) results in a more easily readable map, with greater road detail and the smallest of villages being marked (often missing on the average map). My navigator's (my wife) only complaint was that the map cut the country right in half at Budapest, the most important place in all of Hungary, thus making the map frustrating to use when anywhere within 50 miles of the capital city.
