And it's great that such a thing is available on Amazon. It's by no means a detailed map, however. Aside from showing where (most of) the islands are in relationship to one another and the names of various villages, well, it doesn't tell you a whole lot. The map includes a few paragraphs on it explaining a few historical significances (related to WWII), but these are kind of too sketchy to be interesting and don't really comprise the most important events that took place in the country. I also would have liked a better inset detail of Guadalcanal and the Honiara area. Granted, there aren't a lot of roads to be drawn -- but what was there seemed minimal and certainly wouldn't help much for someone who was visiting SI. bkd
